What is lanolin?

Lanolin is a natural wax found in sheep’s wool. It is extracted from the shorn wool and is used in a wide variety of products. Lanolin makes the sheep’s wool semi-waterproof and protects both its wool and skin from the environment. See our What is Lanolin? article for more information.

Is lanolin suitable for use by vegetarians?

Lanolin is extracted from sheep’s wool after the sheep has been shorn and does not harm the sheep in any way. Lanolin is considered vegetarian and many vegetarians choose to use lanolin-based products. It is animal product and therefore not considered vegan.

LipGlam is easy to use and has a wide range of uses. Please see our article on How To Use LipGlam for more information.

Why is my LipGlam tube hard/I can’t get it out of the tube

LipGlam contains natural lanolin, which can become stiff when it is cold. This is especially true in the winter or if the tube has been delivered by post. We advise holding the tube in your hand or squeezing it gently with the lid on. It should warm up and become softer very quickly.
